Stringer-App is a mobile application that provides designers / construction crews mobile access to conductor sag and tension tables on site or in the office.
What does it do?
The Stringer-App eliminates the hassle of keeping up with paper sag tables and automatically performs linear interpolation between ruling spans and temperatures.
Designers and engineers calculate clearances, pole loading, and guy loading based on sag and tension tables. Line crews use these drawings and data as blueprints to construct overhead line units in the field.
If these two parties are not in accordance on the specifications of the build, then the structures may not meet clearance requirements or the load (wire tension) may exceed the allowable strength rating of the material. The structures would not be performing as they were designed to.
Stringer-App seamlessly connects the design process with the manual process in an easy-to-use app format to allow for properly tensioned wires built to design specifications.
